QIA’s programs and services empower Dominican and Latino families through education, youth leadership, cultural arts, and community engagement. Through impactful initiatives and cultural programming, QIA works to strengthen community pride, expand opportunities, and support future generations across Rhode Island.

Dominican Festival of Rhode Island

 The Dominican Festival of Rhode Island is QIA’s signature cultural celebration, featuring music, dance, food, arts, and community pride. It is one of the largest cultural events in the state, bringing together families, youth, and community partners.

CAPP‑RI: College Awareness & Preparation Program

 CAPP‑RI prepares Latino and inner‑city youth for college through SAT prep, mentorship, workshops, and academic support. The program helps students understand the college process and build confidence in their future.

Youth Leadership Institute

A leadership development program that teaches high school students essential life skills, including communication, future planning, self‑esteem, and community engagement.

Arts & Culture Programming

QIA offers cultural arts activities such as dance presentations, pageants, fashion shows, and youth performances that celebrate Dominican heritage and creativity.

Community Engagement & Service Projects

QIA leads community improvement initiatives, including the Broad Street Community Clean‑Up and collaborations with local agencies to strengthen neighborhoods.

Youth & Family Support Vision (Future Initiative)

A long‑term vision to establish a Youth and Family Center that provides cultural education, academic support, leadership programs, and community services
